Given that it's the New Year, here's a New Day picture to start things off. I got up rather earlier than I expected to this morning when one of our dogs started barking. While I was letting her out, I noticed that we had a beautiful sunrise in the making so I dashed for the camera and grabbed a few shots. The foreground from my vantage point was not particularly interesting so I cropped this down to the sky area and expanded the tonal range using Lightroom (exposure and black level were adjusted to spread the data across the histogram) resulting in a pleasing abstract (to me, at least).
