I photographed this albino rattlesnake through the safety of a glass aquarium (herpetarium?) at the Rattlesnake Museum in Fort Davis during our road trip this summer. The glass wasn't exactly crystal clear but the result is surprisingly clean. I used an off-camera flash to light the snake without getting reflections and to accentuate the texture of the scales.
