A new year has passed and I just realised that I've not posted a cowboy boot picture yet! To rectify that omission, here are a couple of boots from Allens Boots on South Congress. I'll have to wander back in there sometime soon since it's been a while since I shot any new cowboy boot brackets and I bet they have plenty in stock to keep me occupied for a couple of hours. I really should get round to actually buying a pair since I'm told they are extremely comfortable once you break them in.

The story I heard about the foreground boot goes along these lines. A customer special ordered a pair of one-of-a-kind cobra-head Lucchese boots but, when they arrived, changed their mind. If you want them, last time I visited they were on the shelf with a price tag over somewhere around $10,000 if memory serves me correctly.

  Very interesting photo Dave, but I’d would have rather seen these beautiful animals alive! I’m always amazed at the cavalier attitude we take toward other living creatures.
