Widow Skimmer Dragonfly
Here's another picture from the queue while I'm away. This shows a widow skimmer dragonfly I found patrolling our septic field a couple of years ago. I shot this handheld with the 70-300mm lens and about 50mm of extension tubes. The insect would return to this perch every couple of minutes so I just sat there, getting bitten by chiggers and doing my best impression of a rock and grabbed a few frames each time it settled on the twig.
