View from 8A – Window Seat
Today marks the start of another short series of images. I’m a sucker for shooting out of airliner windows so, while travelling back from an overnight trip to San Jose, California last week, I spent some time poking my DSLR out the window and shooting various interesting things as they passed by beneath us.
The post-processing required to remove 35,000 feet of haze and boost the contrast left the colours looking rather unappealing so all but two of the images are monochrome. This first image sets the scene and shows my location for about 3 and a half hours last Thursday morning.

Thanks, guys.
Scott – you should have seen the original. All this week’s pictures took a fair bit of photoshop work since the haze reduces the contrast outside to as close to zero as makes no difference.
