Piccolo Player
One of the problems I have when taking pictures of the band while they are stationed in the stand is that they form a very dense rectangle of people. As a result, I get loads of images of the people around the outside of the group but few of those standing towards the center. Occasionally, however, I managed to pick someone out with the 70-200 and get a decent shot of them.
These pictures are sold as a fundraiser for the band so I always try to get as many individual portraits as possible to keep parents and grandparents happy.

Wonderful capture! Love flutist’s expression and catch-light. Terrific DOF. Love your high-speed captures. ISO 2200. Wow! So crisp.
