The culinary opportunities are almost endless at the Austin Rodeo carnival. Among the plethora of cuisines, the mighty Funnel Cake is, however, king. This Texas delicacy involves dropping a long stream of batter into hot fat to make what amounts to a very long, thin, curled up doughnut. The creation is topped with a serious sprinkling of powdered sugar. Health food? I think not.
