Eiffel Tower, Paris (Las Vegas)

Eiffel Tower, Paris (Las Vegas)

I'm almost embarrassed to admit that I love visiting Las Vegas. The completely over-the-top opulence mixed with the whole tacky slot-machine vibe makes for a really interesting contrast. Add some totally out-of-this-world architecture and you have a photowalk made in heaven.

This shot shows the replica Eiffel Tower at the Paris hotel and casino shortly after sunset.

    Great perspective, Dave!

Sweet image. I was a bit shoched to see something so bright jump out at me after looking at urbex darkness prior to this one.
The line of the French flag leading to the Eiffel Tower base works well to almost chop the image in half.
Vegas is not somewhere I really want to go at all , but i would imaging that its photographically interesting!

John – this is one of those shots where I wished I owned a right angle viewfinder attachment!

Mark – I’m not sure what the UrbEx possibilities are in Vegas but if you like architecture photography and don’t mind being hassled by security guards, it’s a fascinating place to shoot. So many different styles in such a relatively small area.

Love the extreme angle. The lighting is particularly effective. How many exposures?

This was 3 exposures, 2 stops apart (my old approach). I actually shot 4 but didn’t use the 4th (brightest) one in the final processing.
