Blackened Trees, Bryce Canyon

Blackened Trees, Bryce Canyon

This is the last of the Bryce Canyon pictures for a while. During our visit, we spent quite a bit of time photographing a section of the forest that had burned some time earlier leaving blackened trees against white snow and blue sky.

This particular shot used vertical camera movement during the exposure to give a dreamy, streaky effect that I rather enjoy. There's probably a technical term for this but I'm going to stick with "dreamy, streaky."
