FRC at UIC Pavilion, Chicago, IL
The World Championship for the FIRST Robotics Competition is starting this Thursday in St. Louis so here's another FRC picture. This shows the UIC Pavilion in Chicago which was the venue for the Midwest Regional last month.
If you want a better idea of what this event involves, you can get a 4 minute intro via a fun little video I posted over on the blog recently. You can also find my favourite photos from the event on my SmugMug site.

Great shot! Almost looks fisheye-like, but that’s probably just the room.

Thanks, Kristi. The room is round but the 15mm fisheye makes it look even rounder still!

Great shot, Dave! Love how the fish accentuates the curves!

Dave, I like this image a lot!
Did you use any Denoise software or does the D700 simply handle ISO2500 that well?

Brandt,
I suspect I dialed in a small amount of noise reduction in Lightroom but it certainly wasn’t very much. The D700 is great up to about 3200ISO and usable above this with some more serious noise reduction. That’s one of the biggest differences I notice moving from the D90 to the D700.
