I'm a bit late posting this image today but I put that down to a very long lie and too much Independence Day fun. This was taken about 22 years ago at the base of the Washington Monument in D.C. It's a scan from a Fujichrome transparency and I most likely polarised it too, hence the great blue sky.

If you are in the US, I hope you have an enjoyable 4th of July holiday. If you are elsewhere, I hope your Monday was fine too.
